Ok, so what's new on Sunspear Skills? I'll ask James, but I thought that was answered a while ago and didn't he say that they were coming with GW:EN, that they were the PVE-only skills?
Isn't it more like the Sunspear skills will arrive in Nightfall at the same time as GW:EN expansion?
When I was informing people in Guild Wars Official Wiki about this statement, a user by the name of Eerie Moss came up with this:
"Hrm, I would find that weird seeing as it would severely impact the player experience for characters that haven't played Nightfall. If you come from Prophecies or Factions you won't have any Sunspear rank yet, so straight away you're at a disadvantage."
We better wait and see for further developments...

Yes, please do wait. I was real clear--or so I hoped--that I'm unsure that these skills are, precisely, or when they come. I keep up, but I can't remember every detail, and things change, too. That's not to say this has changed, that's not to say anything at all, yet. Please don't make GWW changes or put any store in my response, as it was more a question than a statement. I should have an answer today.
And Tiny Killer: You rock.

It is an unofficial list on an official website, with entries that can be changed on release, whatever that means.
I believe it's just insurance to cover their ass in case something happens that they can't control.

You can't really apply that here because the victim in this case has a job that pretty much requires you to have a thick skin. To believe otherwise is naive.
I understand that it definitely got out of control last time and she may have needed to take a week or so off away from this forum to calm down and let things smooth over, but it's has been what, almost a month now?
One word: CONFUSION, to both the developers and the community. There is a really bad miscommunication going on here (big time). Does not anyone know what is going on here? Do the developers know what the right hand is doing, while some of them work the left hand? What about the community, we actually thought these sunspear PvE skills were still in the works and would be coming out soon. If it is true what you say about the sunspear PvE skills coming out when EotN comes in, then what are they now? Are they apart of EotN itself in which we have to own both Nightfall and EotN? Or will it all be apart of the 50 PvE only skills in EotN instead of actually being the Sunspear PvE skills?
I’m sorry but I simply do not understand any of this, what so ever.

You are right in that her position does require a thick skin. This does not, however, give anyone the right to lash out her, call her names, question her personal code of ethics, or whatever it is some people decide to throw at her. Gaile has an absolute right not to be treated in such a manner, and if someone had thrown crap like this at me when I was doing customer service, I would have hung up the phone. Do you have the right to complain? Sure... however if you phrase it in such a way that isn't constructive, be ready to have it ignored.
I would like to know exactly when we are getting the skills, but I'm not going to complain if we aren't told. If they are released with GW:EN then it will be disapointing, but I will accept that, sure I'd like them sooner, but I enjoy the game and quite honestly I believe one thing should be remembered here
We pay for the game in the box, what we get then is all we should really expect, If I was paying a monthly fee for the privalege of playing this game, then, and only then, would I expect and demand that we got upgrades to the game. I am happy with the majority of upgrades we do get, and sometimes there are mistakes made, but when they are the team does try to fix them, sometimes it takes a while.
To be hosest with you I don't see it as humanly possible to follow every single thread on this site, responding to every single one would be impossible, but to also follow every singe forum on every site as well as this, and expect one person to read every thread on every site related to GW, and to also reply to every one, and follow it. Thats just plain rediculous.
If I was in Gaile's position and suffereing the constant disrespectful abuse of a number of people I would refrain from any comment on sites apart from locked threads announcing news she came by when she got it. I would imagine all her job entails is lettign us know whats in development and telling the devs what we seem to desire. This to me would not often involve direct communication, And when our opinion should be poled there is no reason for Gaile to do it directly, I'm sure she coudl use other accounts for asking those questions without having to get the amount of flak she sufferes from doing it upfront.
I believe there is a lot of peopel out there that simply have no conception of how much time a person can have in a job like hers, and if they become as abusive and slanderous as they have been maybe they should be made to shut up, or even banned altogether
I work in a very social enviroment as well, customers care is very important.
But if anybody (customer or boss) would lash out on me or slave me around(and they do sometimes on my collegues), I would just laugh at them in the face and ignore them for the rest of the day.
Or maybe ppl should stop speculating and wait patiently...
In time all will be revealed.
How can some of the community not speculate at the information handed to us? Yes it starts hype and yes it drives up the confusion, but people will be people. How long will we have to wait? It’s been practically a month before this last bit of information on the sunspear skills came in. Patience is a virtue indeed; however I would think I want to stop hearing about what might happen and what might not happen, based on not knowing the information fully (and being very vague).
I’m not blaming anyone for this mishap, because I do not know who is responsible, let alone what is going on. Some people are focusing their anger on one person but I rather not, till I understand what is really going on behind that curtain. All of this natural in the way of miscommunication with human endeavors, since no one knows what is truly going on.

I could probably argue that I work with more angry customers than anyone here in my line of work. And it makes a HUGE difference when someone honestly and respectfully requests a service or exception with a humble, grateful attitude. The customer that screams and cries for his/her way is not only disliked by everyone, but they rarely get anything from me except the 'letter of the law' lowest service I can possibly give without losing my job.....
Thank you for waiting for the response. Those who did.
There are two sets of PvE-only skills: The Sunspear skills and skills that will be included in GW:EN. We had a parallel discussion and that is why I was confused about the matter.
So, the PvE-only Sunspear Skills will be rolled out soon. I will get a timeline--if we are able to give one--when James is available. I can say the Sunspear Skills will not be added this week. I believe that they may be added in a matter of a few weeks rather than a few months or something like that, but again, until I get approval from Mike O'Brien or James Phinney, that's a belief, not a promise or a commitment.
This is the information that I can give you at this point in time, along with my apology for any confusion I may have caused when expressing my own confusion late last night. I hope that this clarification and the information given here is helpful and if we have more to provide, I will post it as soon as it becomes available.

great to know gaile.....wish everything was that simple....yes this and no that....would make reading this bored much easier than hearing everyone whine about blah blah said or didn't say....i am probably as guilty as the next so...thanks for getting the correct information Gaile.
Thaks for the clarification Gaile, as you know, it still isn't enough for some, but please don't give up talking to us, because that would be the final nail for a lot of the community
